Preparing Educators for High Poverty/Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Schools: A Manual for Teacher Educators, Teachers and Principals.

This manual reflects the work of the Maryland Teaching Consortium, a Race to the Top-funded initiative that involved ten Institutions of higher education (IHEs) and two-four of their Professional Development Schools (PDSs); resources are provided to facilitate program development and implementation to improve educator effectiveness in high poverty, as well as culturally and linguistically diverse schools. This work reflects Maryland's commitment to closing the achievement gap.
