WHAT: Recognize Maryland’s first National Teacher of the Year,
Kimberly Oliver, a kindergarten teacher at Broad Acres
Elementary School in Montgomery County. Ms. Oliver is a
Nationally Board Certified teacher who mentors other
teachers and believes strongly in parent involvement and
the importance of early childhood education.
Ms. Oliver will be officially recognized by the State of
Maryland and then will share her platform and thoughts on
key education issues as she embarks on a year-long
ambassadorship for the teaching profession.
