Maryland Schools Support Military Families

The Maryland State Department of Education is focused on educational excellence, workforce readiness, and child care delivery. The Department’s webpage provides families with a wide array of information about Maryland's local school systems.

On this webpage you will find links to Maryland’s 24 local school systems; security clearance information; and publications and materials that are topic specific or that provide a snapshot of Maryland’s education excellence. In addition, you will find information related to Teacher Certification and transfer; STEM education; the Gifted and Talented program; Minority Achievement; Environmental programs; Autism; Child Care; and Career Technology Education. If you are looking for information specific to a Maryland public school system or school, please visit www.mdreportcard.org which offers assessment and demographic information accountability.

In Maryland we remain focused on making our education system the best in the country – and we’re succeeding.

You can find brochures detailing news about Maryland on this website under publications. I can assure you that MSDE will continue to work with all school systems to ensure our State remains at the top – especially as those affected by military transfers begin to call Maryland their home.

Thank You and Welcome to Maryland!
