Mark Carl Sunkel, Biology
Frederick County - Linganore High School

Mark is a graduate of Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, a Master in Secondary Science Education from Western Maryland College, and a Master of Arts degree in Environmental Science from Hood College. He has taught at his school for twenty-three years and serves as the science department chair. Mark has helped raise student achievement on the Maryland High School Assessment in Biology by developing a "Quick Reference Guide" and piloting a "Science on Saturdays Program" for at risk students.
