Leah has been teaching in Prince George's County for 38 years in five "Title I" schools. She graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Elementary Education from Shepard University, received a M.Ed. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from the University of Maryland, and studied Reading Recovery, administration, and technology at McDaniel College, Loyola College and Goucher College. Her teaching career began in 1967 at Harpers Ferry Job Corp. Center. Mrs. Rempert is married to an educator, Harold Rempert, who is also a teacher with Prince George's County Public Schools. They have two adult children, Paul and Margreta, who are both successful professionals.
