Margaret Childers graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bowie State University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Special Education. Bowie State University also awarded her the Excellence in Early Childhood Education Award. She earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College in 2000. Margaret has contributed as a curriculum writer at the county level in both language arts and science. She takes great satisfaction from mentoring first and second year teachers as well as acting as the supervisory teacher for pre-service student teachers. To date, all of her mentoring candidates remain in the teaching profession.
