Mary Catherine Stephens, Math, Science, Social Studies, 5th grade
Carroll County – Winfield Elementary School

Mary Catherine Stephens received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Science Degree in Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University. Cathy’s colleagues visit her 5th grade classroom at Winfield Elementary School observing math and technology lessons. Recently, she presented a countywide seminar entitled Making Multiple Math Groups Work. School involvement has included: Chairman of the Technology Committee, Instructional Support Team representative, science and math committees, PTA teacher representative, parent workshop facilitator, and coordinator of online science MSA testing. Student centered, Cathy volunteers her time providing after school tutoring.
