Teacher Professional Practice

The rating for a teacher’s Professional Practice rating will comprise 50% of the teacher’s evaluation.  The Professional Practice portion of the evaluation aligns with Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching and includes areas such as: Planning and Preparation, Instruction, Classroom Environment, and Professional Responsibilities. The teacher’s Professional Practice rating will assess all four Danielson Domains as well as the 22 components within the domains and the 76 smaller elements. Districts using the local model must use the four Danielson domains but may add other criteria based upon local priorities to measure teacher Professional Practice.
