SECURITY CLEARANCE

Most of the jobs coming to Maryland through the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program require a security clearance. The attached information will help students and other prospective employees understand the clearance process.

Project SCOPE (Security Clearance Overview and Preparation Education), an initiative of the Ft. Meade Alliance with support of Anne Arundel Community College to provide introductory and interactive learning tools about security clearances to students from the 7th to 12th grades, as well as parents, teachers, guidance counselors and business mentors. SCOPE provides resources to educate students about the issues surrounding security clearances and how to remain eligible for the myriad of jobs coming to Maryland as a result of Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) as well as growth in government and private sector industries.
