9 a.m. - Interagency Committee on School Construction

Dr. Lowery will participate in the monthly meeting of the IAC.

1 p.m. - Budget Hearing, Funding for Educational Organizations
Miller Senate Office Building, 11 Bladen Street, Annapolis, MD 21401
Dr. Lowery will brief committee members on budget plans for educational organizations.

Tuesday, February 24
9 a.m. - Maryland State Board of Education, Maryland State Department of Education
7th Floor Board Room, 200 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
Dr. Lowery will participate in the regular monthly meeting of the State Board.

Wednesday, February 25
No public schedule.

Thursday, February 26
9:30 a.m. - School Visit: Harbour School, 1277 Green Holly Drive, Annapolis, MD 21409
Dr. Lowery will tour the private, nonprofit school for special education students, meeting with teachers and administrators.

1 p.m. - Budget Hearing - Early Childhood Education
Lowe House Office Building, 6 Bladen Street, Annapolis, MD  21401
Dr. Lowery will brief committee members on budget plans for early childhood development.

Friday, February 27
1 p.m. - Budget Hearing - Early Childhood Education and Aid to Education
Miller Senate Office Building, 11 Bladen Street, Annapolis, MD 21401
Dr. Lowery will brief committee members on budget plans for both early childhood development and aid to education.

Saturday, February 28
9 a.m. - Special Panel - Teaching Works: Holding Ourselves Accountable
American Association for Colleges of Teacher Education Annual Meeting
Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Ballroom CD, 265 Peachtree Center Avenue, Atlanta, GA  30303
Dr. Lowery will participate in a panel discussion about educator effectiveness moderated by Deborah Loewenberg Ball (University of Michigan, TeachingWorks) Other presenters are Paul Goren, (Evanston/Skokie Illinois School District), Jennifer Green (Urban Teacher Center), Pam Grossman (University of Pennsylvania), and Etta Hollins (University of Missouri, Kansas City).
