Dr. Smith's Tour of Excellence Goes to North Harford Elementary on May 3

Baltimore, MD (May 2, 2016)

Interim Maryland State Superintendent of Schools Jack R. Smith will celebrate the success of one the State’s top schools on Tuesday, as the annual Blue Ribbon Tour of Excellence makes a stop at North Harford Elementary School in Harford County. 

North Harford Elementary is one of six Maryland Blue Ribbon Schools announced late last year. It has developed a variety of innovative instructional programs, including the Monarch Way Station that significantly increased the number of caterpillars and butterflies in the area.  The fifth grade STEM program works with robotics, pneumatics, and hydraulics, while the fourth grade program integrates critical math thinking with physical fitness and well-being.
