Monday, October 6
8:45 a.m. - National Commission on Teaching and America’s Future,
Pew Charitable Trusts, 901 E Street, NW, Washington, DC  20004
Dr. Lowery will keynote the Good Teaching Summit: Strategies to Foster Teaching Success event.  Her speech will focus on improving teaching by persisting on multiple fronts.

Tuesday, October 7
9 a.m., Council of Chief State School Officers CSLC Forum,
Connecticut State Department of Education, 165 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06196
Dr. Lowery will the Eastern follow-up forum for CCSSO.

Wednesday, October 8
11:30 a.m. – U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Tour,
Dunloggin Middle School, 9129 Northfield Road, Ellicott City, MD 21042
Dr. Lowery will join the tour of U.S. Department of Education officials for its visit to Howard County.  Federal officials are spending the day in Maryland, celebrating Green Ribbon School honorees.

Thursday, October 9
11:30 a.m. – Eastern Shore Consortium and Salisbury University Conference on Educational Leadership,
Salisbury University, Guerrieri Center, Wicomico Room,

Dr. Lowery will be the afternoon keynote speaker of the day-long event.

Friday, October 10
Maryland Teacher of the Year Gala,
Martin’s West, 6817 Dogwood Rd, Baltimore, MD 21244
Dr. Lowery will attend the annual event honoring Maryland’s top teachers and naming the 2014-15 State Teacher of the Year.
